Service Description

The Advanced Ceramics class emphasizes a shift from learning basic techniques to achieving a higher level of craftsmanship and skill. Stronger constructive criticism and a more rigid progression of class will guide students to a new level of learning, a polished final product, and a deeper understanding of the complete ceramics process. Additionally, Advanced Ceramics students will learn the fundamentals of Ceramic Glaze Development. As a class, students will construct two base glazes; a matte glaze and a gloss glaze. These new glazes will be added to the studio glaze collection for the entire student body to experience. Session Classes are offered once a week for six weeks during a session. They are taught to the level of each student, providing group and individual instruction. Fee includes one 25lb bag of clay, the use of studio tools, supplies, glazes and firings.
