Session II Open for Registration Now!
Students will follow a hands-on approach to learning, in which they execute various dishes and baked goods from start to finish, following instruction from local and in house chefs. Six week sessions meeting once a week. Each class is two hours long, and covers new lessons and recipes each week (no recipes will be repeated in any session!). All culinary classes will cover the basics of using kitchen utensils, such as the proper way to measure, pour, cut, slice, stir, melt and peel. Classes will also cover kitchen and food safety, as well as basic cooking and dining etiquette. At the end of each class, students will enjoy eating their creations together as they discuss and reflect on the process they just completed. Students will bring their new knowledge and recipes home with them, and occasionally they’ll bring home a treat to share!
*all cooking classes will run when at least 6 students are registered
Dress Code: •Students must wear closed toe shoes; no flip flops are allowed in the studio. • For safety athletic shoes are the only option in cooking and pottery camps and long hair must be pulled back with hair tie. • No strapless, midriff, or low-cut shirts are allowed. • No clothing depicting alcohol, tobacco, political messaging or inappropriate behavior should be worn to class.
