Six Week Class Schedule for School Year 2022 - 2023
Session I: September 18, 2022 to October 29, 2022
Session II: October 30, 2022 to December 17, 2022
*no classes the week of Nov 20-26, 2022
Session III: January 8, 2023 to February 18, 2023
Session IV: February 19, 2023 to April 1, 2023
Session V: April 16, 2023 to May 27, 2023
* It is not necessary to take the previous sessions in order to sign up for the current session.
Students will follow a hands-on approach to learning, in which they execute various dished and baked goods from start to finish, following instruction from local and in house chefs. Six week session meets once a week. Each class is 2.5 hours long, and covers new lessons and recipes each week. All culinary classes will cover the basics of using kitchen utensils, such as the proper way to measure, pour, cut, slice, stir, melt and peel. Classes will also cover kitchen and food safety, as well as basic cooking and dining etiquette. At the end of each class, students will enjoy eating their creations together as they discuss and reflect on the process they just completed.
