"Blast Off" Music Lessons: SEPTEMBER 10 - 14, 2012
Reserve a spot for a $25.00 week of group music lessons! That is *FIVE* one-hour lessons! Students will have class for one hour, every day for one week, as a "Blast Off" introduction to the instrument of their choice. If you sign up for a session at the end of the Blast Off week, $25.00 will be subtracted from the cost of your session fees!

Blast Off: PIANOGroup Piano Classes are offered at Open Arts Studio to students ages 5 to adult and appeal to students of different learning styles and levels. Practice on the piano, worksheets, rhythmic movement, theory games, and ensemble playing are all essential components of the learning process. While classes are conducted in a group format, individual attention from the instructor for each student is still part of every class. Open Arts Studio teaches our piano students the Mayron Cole Method.

Blast Off: GuitarOpen Arts Studio offers group guitar lessons for students aged 7 to adult. Class placement is determined by age and skill level. These group guitar lessons are appropriate for everyone, from beginners who have never held a guitar, to advanced guitarists who wish to improve their skills. Open Arts Studio utilizes a hands-on approach for these group lessons, as well as body percussion and methodology influence from Orff and Kodaly.

Blast Off: Violin
Students will explore string instruments in the violin family with music, technique, theory and a variety of repertoire. Group lessons allow for peer support, individual attention and introduction to ensemble playing. Initial lessons are taken from Suzuki materials, augmented with note reading, rhythm, appropriate scales and arpeggios. Supplementary, indidvidaul and small group performance materials are presented with fun group interaction. Classical, folk, bluegrass, jazz and rock genres will be included. Lesson placement is based on current age and competency, involing weekly lessons, regular practice and listening in a relaxed and supportive group environment, with highly qualified instruction.
